Overview
Alamance Foods, Inc. is a family-rooted food manufacturer with more than a century of heritage in dairy processing. The business traces its origins to the early 1900s when founder R. W. Scott began selling surplus butter and cream produced on his family farm. The company expanded in 1927 when Ralph H. Scott established Melville Dairy, which later evolved into the modern Alamance Foods operation.
Today, the company manufactures and distributes a range of consumer food products, including:
Aerosol whipped cream and whipped dairy toppings
Coffee creamers and toppings
Freeze pops and frozen treats
Flavored drinks and bottled water
Alamance Foods was one of the early U.S. producers of aerosol whipped cream in 1959, helping popularize this product category. The company continues to innovate with new food concepts, such as whipped condiments and other dairy-based products.
