Established in 1991, the Institute of Microelectronics is a research institute under A*STAR Singapore, developing advanced semiconductor technologies for the industry. One key research area is on next generation photonics and advanced packaging techniques, from design to fabrication, to deliver high performance optical technologies for communications, sensing and imaging applications.
