Overview
Backbone Broadcast develops cloud-native audio infrastructure for sports, media, and live event environments.
At NAB26, we are showcasing a deterministic, ultra-low latency, multi-channel in-venue audio architecture that delivers synchronized play-by-play, descriptive audio, and auxiliary feeds directly to audience smartphones via bonded Wi-Fi and cellular networks—without dedicated hardware or RF distribution systems.
Our platform operates on the physical connectivity infrastructure you already have—whether recently upgraded or legacy Wi-Fi and 4G/5G deployments—because the system is architected in the cloud, not in the venue.
Built on a microservices-based architecture with a broadcast-informed timing model designed for synchronized delivery at scale, the platform maintains consistent audience experiences across large device populations inside physical venues.
Beyond in-venue delivery, the same infrastructure powers remote production, station automation, multi-location collaboration, IP distribution, and event-based pop-up channels—enabling rights holders to virtualize studio operations while maintaining broadcast discipline.
Backbone Broadcast has powered professional sports networks, national media brands, and distributed production teams for more than a decade. We deliver scalable, OpEx-driven audio infrastructure that reduces capital expense, increases operational agility, and expands accessibility and monetization opportunities.
