The Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau (CSSB) is the non-profit trade association and recognized industry authority for genuine cedar roofing and sidewall products. Founded in 1915, the CSSB’s core function is to maintain and enforce the highest standards of quality, performance, and sustainability for the cedar industry.

The CSSB’s most important contribution is the Certi-label™ quality assurance program. This third-party inspected mark guarantees that products, such as Certigrade® shingles and Certi-Split® shakes, meet or exceed rigorous building code requirements and published grading rules.
