Dan Clark Audio is a San Diego based manufacturer of high-performance headphones for pro and consumer use. DCA designs all its own drivers and parts, focusing on advanced planar magnetic and electrostatic technologies.

In addition, DCA has received numerous patents, including one for the state-of-the-art Acoustic Metamaterial Tuning System, or AMTS. AMTS allows DCA to eliminate standing waves that introduce response irregularities in high frequencies, eliminating the sharp/synthetic-sound highs common to many headphone designs, particularly closed back headphones. With AMTS, cymbals, strings, and other instruments with high-frequency content sound more accurate and smooth, for a more comfortable, acoustically honest listening experience.

DCA also focuses extensively on listener comfort, with a design goal of allowing 8 hour listening sessions without physical or aural fatigue.
