Overview
EDL is a French leader in information systems for radiology and nuclear medicine.
Founded in 1994, EDL has developed a comprehensive range of cross-functional solutions that follow the entire patient workflow in medical imaging and nuclear medicine, from appointment scheduling to the dissemination of results, including image storage on the PACS and its own teleradiology solution.
EDL is organized into different teams, totaling 180 people: Research and Development team, responsible for the evolution of existing products and the development of new solutions. Internal product development ensures optimal responsiveness to customer and EDL team requests. Sales and Marketing team, dedicated to product marketing and customer relations, both during pre-sales and throughout the product’s lifecycle, acting as primary contacts for customers. Project team, focused on project implementation and user training. Support team, dedicated to providing technical support to users and customizing the software when necessary. Internal Management Services team, which includes Information Systems, Quality, Administrative, and HR departments.
Our quality team ensures that our products meet and obtain the latest certifications in force at the national, European, and international levels.
Anticipating technological and regulatory developments, staying as close as possible to our customers, and listening to their needs in order to offer ever more efficient, robust, and reliable solutions — this is the guiding principle that drives our teams every day!
Headquartered in Berre-l’Etang (France), EDL operates from three offices: two in France and one in Germany, following two successful acquisitions: Penta in 2018, in Germany, to support EDL’s growth in the country, Theleme in 2022, in France, specializing in nuclear medicine. EDL has migrated all of its customers to Xplore, after integrating new features from their historic GERA software.
EDL serves over 700 customers in seven countries, primarily in Europe, but with strong international ambitions. Its customer base has historically been more focused on the public sector, with over 70% market share, though the gap is narrowing with the private sector.
EDL’s ambition is to offer stable, functional, integrated, and customizable products, always with customer satisfaction at the heart.
