The Instituto Argentino del Envase is a non-profit association founded in 1969 with the mission of promoting the general development of the packaging industry, contributing to improving the quality of life while respecting the environment. ​ 

The best asset of the Instituto Argentino del Envase is ENVASE, one of the most important events in the packaging industry. The exhibition has been taking place every two years since 1988, where local and international exhibitors bring the latest trends in design and raw materials, state-of-the-art technology, machinery, and manufacturing processes. Throughout exhibition days, it is possible to attend a wide variety of scheduled conferences provided by professionals, participate in business rounds, and witness packaging-related activities (Concurso Estrella del Sur, where submitted packaging provided by companies is categorized into different categories and, being the case, awarded).

One of our main objectives is to promote packaging research and education. Among our services, we provide the “Postgado en tecnología de envases y embalajes”, the “Curso de packaging a distancia”, and seminars on packaging-related topics. For more than 40 years, the aim has been to develop the abilities and competencies of each professional on packaging. 

We publish our Revista IAE, a quarterly specialized magazine about trending topics, including updated information on local and international markets.  Research and investigation contents can be easily found throughout the pages, as well as articles provided by important companies of Argentina´s packaging industry. Even all the activities carried out by the Instituto Argentino del Envase are depicted in Revista IAE, in order to make public our commitment to the welfare of society and the environment. The digital magazine is available on our website, at www.packaging.com.ar/revista, and in order to access the printed version, subscription is required.

A Technical Specialized Library provides tailor-made coaching to professionals and companies with useful printed and audiovisual content, as well as a wide supplier´s directory (Guía del Envase), available on our premises upon request. 

We carry out specific tests for the packaging industry, both in the chemical as well as in the physical-mechanical fields, in order to support the quality of the products manufactured by local and offshore companies.
