Kootanla is a data-driven technology and consulting startup and our mission is to drive meaningful, positive change by solving real world problems in the energy and utilities sector. Kootanla’s flagship product, GRIIDS (or Grid and Rate Infrastructure Investment Data Service), is currently in the minimum viable product (MVP) beta phase and was created to be one of the most comprehensive data sources for grid investment and rate case activity across all U.S. investor-owned utilities (IOUs).

Kootanla takes its name from the Yoruba phrase, “Okuta Nla,” meaning “Big Solid Rock.” This symbolizes dependability, resilience, and transformation, and are the same qualities reflected in GRIIDS and other innovative solutions/services we deliver to customers.
