Martin Roofing & SOLAR is a locally owned-and-operated EPC in Southern Illinois, with a new claim to fame: Hidden-Fastener Solar Mount (patented) is Martin’s proprietary solar attachment hardware intended for asphalt and synthetic slate shingles.

The invention was awarded by the Department of Energy for the unique design that saves shingles from holes by attaching underneath the shingle course, through the traditional nail strip below. Integrating into the shingle courses, and relying on the proper shingles for leak-free function, Hidden-Fastener Solar Mount (HFSM) is guaranteed leak-free for the lifetime of the roof to which it installs. While HFSM is compatible with virtually all other rail racking systems on the market, Martin is furthering innovation with its own full racking system to provide maximum ease of installation for contractors, and maximum installation quality for home and business owners.

HFSM is the only solar attachment that we allow to touch our shingle roofs.
