After living in Germany for a year Katie and Matt Wessel set out to recreate the traditional Bavarian pretzels they fell in love with in their hometown of Milwaukee. We only use the highest quality ingredients, no added sugar or preservatives. In addition to our hand-rolled line, our German-made high-capacity, automated equipment was designed and engineered to be gentle on our dough and maintain a strong dough structure. That, paired with slow fermentation, creates a richer, more complex flavor and beautiful rise.
