Quickdraft has more than 70 years of experience innovating processes to help make manufacturing and food processing throughout the world more efficient. Quickdraft designs conveying, exhaust and exhaust filtration solutions to solve our customersâ most pressing production issues.
Quickdraft Venturi technology keeps the blower wheel outside of the exhaust and/or conveying duct so the blower handles only clean surrounding air. This allows us to provide our customers with highly dependable, extremely low maintenance solutions that are designed for 24/7 operation. Our systems are widely used in many industries.
Exhaust Systems
Quickdraft venturi exhausters are a long term, dependable, low maintenance solution for any exhaust application where the nature of the exhaust increases maintenance, results in production downtime or results in frequent replacement of in-line exhaust fans. With no moving parts in the exhaust stream, the Quickdraft exhauster is an excellent solution for extremely hot, cryogenic, acidic, sticky, corrosive or particulate applications.
In the Food Processing industry, Quickdraftâs exhausters are often used on exhaust from ovens, fryers, cryogenic freezing tunnels and blenders, fermentation tanks and kettles, among other applications.
Exhaust Filtration Systems
Quickdraft developed a Demister exhaust filtration system to address our Food Processing customersâ concerns regarding grease, breading and particulate escaping in the exhaust when frying or cooking bacon, poultry, pork, meats, tortilla chips and other food products. The Demister system uses a three-stage process to remove grease, oil and particulate from the exhaust stream:
- Knockdown and Velocity Reduction is used to slow the exhaust air stream and allow larger particles to fall out,
- Water spray showers are located at optimum locations to âscrubâ the airflow of grease, oil, particulate, breading and marinade,
- A series of specially designed Demister filter pads capture as much of the remaining grease, oil, marinade, breading and particulates as possible.
Quickdraft offers two different Demister systems based on the application and are 99% efficient for particles 5 micron or greater and 80% efficient for 3 micron particulate. Water recirculation systems are incorporated into our systems to save water. There are over 400 Quickdraft Demister systems installed throughout the world, keeping production rooms free of smoke, improving the efficiency of the cooking and frying process and keeping our customersâ roofs free of grease and particulate matter. Our Demister systems reduce cleaning, eliminate potential pest problems and extend roof life.
Pneumatic Conveying Systems
Quickdraftâs pneumatic conveying system design allows customers to convey a variety of materials consistently and safely without labor interaction. These materials include spent hot dog casings, packaging trim, shrink wrap, offal and some edible products. Our systems are designed with a priority on food safety, ease of cleaning, reduction of water usage, minimize utilization of valuable floor space, increased production reliability and reduced labor requirements. Our systems are used in a variety of industries, are designed specifically for each application and allow 24/7 operation with minimal required maintenance.
