Overview
At MODEX, Schmalz will showcase material handling solutions designed to improve ergonomics, efficiency, and throughput across supply chain and warehouse operations. Visitors will see a live truck and container unloading application using the Destuff-it system. Packages move from the container onto a conveyor where operators use the new two-trigger JumboFlex vacuum tube lifter to unload cartons quickly and safely. Schmalz will also feature the Mobile Order Picker, a flexible lifting and palletizing solution that mounts to the front of a fork truck. Used with either the JumboFlex or JumboErgo depending on load weight, the system enables operators to handle cartons throughout the warehouse while supporting palletizing and order fulfillment tasks. For roll handling applications, Schmalz will demonstrate a Binar Handling QLA servo hoist equipped with a custom tool designed to lift and manipulate coils of packaging material.
Automation will also be featured, including a palletizing system with a FANUC CRX cobot using Schmalz PXT modular tooling and GCPi mobile electrical vacuum generator. A second palletizing setup mounted on a mobile AMR platform will demonstrate flexible robotic palletizing in dynamic warehouse environments. Schmalz will also display a miniature version of Cellumation’s intelligent sorting conveyor system. Integrate it with an SPZ layer gripper, and create a fully automated palletizing and depalletizing of full product layers. These palletizing solutions can be custom engineered to handle boxes, bags, slip sheets, and other packaging formats. Schmalz also will have on display offerings from our broad portfolio of vacuum components, gripping systems, and ergonomic lifting devices supporting every stage of packaging and supply chain operations—from primary packaging and case packing to end-of-line palletizing and logistics handling.
