The Department of Mining Engineering at the University of Utah has over a century of experience educating mining engineers, conducting impactful research, and partnering with industry to solve real-world challenges. The department focuses on the design and management of safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible mining and mineral resource systems that are critical to the modern economy.
